Guidelines on Freedom of Association (FoA) in English, Chinese and Myanmar, which aim to operationalise and contextualise what FoA means in Myanmar, based on international standards and the Myanmar legal framework.

ACT (Action, Collaboration, transformation) a multistakeholder initiative active in Myanmar focussed on living wages and responsible sourcing practices and bringing together garment brands, IndustriAll global union and its local partner the Industrial Workers Federation of Myanmar (IWFM), has adopted (November 2019) Guidelines on Freedom of Association (FoA) in English, Chinese and Myanmar, which aim to operationalise and contextualise what FoA means in Myanmar, based on international standards and the Myanmar legal framework.

Additionally, ACT’s 21 Global Brands and IndustriALL Global Union have agreed global purchasing practice commitments which go into effect 100% as of January 2021, and are accompanied by an Accountability and Monitoring Framework.
