The 9th edition of the annual publication ‘Human Rights Education in Asia-Pacific’ published by the Asia-Pacific Human Rights Information Center of Human Rights Osaka includes an article by Vicky Bowman, MCRB Director, and Donna Guest, Senior Adviser, focusing on MCRB’s capacity building activities titled ‘Business and Human Rights Education in Myanmar: The First Five Years of Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business’. This is the first business and human rights article to have been included in the annual publication.

Coincidentally, Win Min, Senior Programme Associate, is currently visiting Osaka, Japan, together with Aye Thiha of EGuard/Myanmar Environmental Assessment Association, at the invitation of the Aozora Foundation to share MCRB’s experience, and to learn more about the work which Aozora and others in Japan have done to address the impacts of environmental pollution, and to discuss the current challenges faced by Myanmar including declining air quality, and pollution from plastic and other waste.

MCRB is contributing to the crowd-sourced information on Yangon air quality by hosting a monitor which provides real-time reading to Purple Air and the Air Visual app.
