The paper focusses on the role of business in respecting and supporting children’s rights. It aims to provide guidance to foreign and Myanmar companies on what children’s rights mean in the context of doing business in Myanmar.
On 6 December 2016, MCRB held a consultation in Yangon to receive feedback and engage in discussion on the draft Children’s Rights and Business Briefing paper which will be published next year.
These guidelines have been prepared to assist government officials in putting together first and subsequent periodic reports under the Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138) and the Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention, 1999 (No. 182).
