The Myanmar Times has published an Op-Ed by Vicky Bowman, entitled ‘Five wishes for responsible business’, which sets out ideas for the next government to deepen and strengthen the policy and legal framework for responsible business in Myanmar. 

The article highlights the need for more transparency and public consultation by government, to underpin its ‘duty to protect’. A recent analysis by MCRB on recent and forthcoming Myanmar laws with a link to responsible business is available:
