The Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE) is a non-profit association and also a coalition of companies that are committed to promoting gender equality in the workplace in Myanmar. They are funded by the Australian Government through Investing in Women, a program to improve women’s economic participation, build markets for women and influence the private and public sector environment to promote women’s economic empowerment in the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia. MCRB and BCGE share the common aim to promote equality in the workplace.
Colors Rainbow began as an LGBT+ program of Equality Myanmar (formerly the Human Rights Education Institute of Burma) in 2007 and has since grown into Myanmar’s leading LGBT+ rights organization. They work to end discriminaton against LGBT+ in Myanmar through awareness raising, education, legal reform and legal protection. They do this through multifaceted programming that consists of trainings,, discussions,, networking meetings, community events, lobbying, advocacy and research projects, and the production of multimedia resources. Both MCRB and Colors Rainbow aim to promote LGBT+ equality in the workplace.
bdi is a unique global business consortium galvanising the power of multinational organisations to build a more successful, productive, efficient and inclusive future for business and disabled people. MCRB and bdi share a common strategic goal of enabling global and Myanmar business to become ‘disability confident’, and mobilising business behind legal and systemic reform.
MCRB is pleased to be a member of the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers’ Association (ICoCA). ICoCA is a multi-stakeholder initiative established as a Swiss non-profit association which aims to promote, govern and oversee implementation of the International Code of Conduct as well as to promote the responsible provision of security services and respect for human rights and national and international law in accordance with the Code.
